Bushman Equipment, Inc recently delivered two motorized rotating horizontal axis grabs to a leading manufacturer of mining equipment. The lifting devices attach to overhead traveling cranes, allowing them to lift and rotate forgings and partially machined gears and pinion shafts.
A 15,000 lb capacity unit (shown on the left) handles ring gears from 3 to 10 feet in diameter and up to 23” thick. Multiple sets of lifting pads were provided to match the workpiece being lifted.
A 10,000 lb capacity unit (shown on the right) can rotate pinion shafts 10” to 36” in diameter, up to 90” long.
The lifters are designed to operate on 460/3/60 power supply.
