Today's steel service centers and similar facilities require more accurate weight data on the products they ship. They also want to move their products faster and less expensively. How can you meet these requirements which appear mutually exclusive?
By combining two process steps into one, Bushman has solved the time consuming problem of load weighing. We have taken our rugged material handling equipment and fused it with the most advanced electronic load weighing equipment to provide immediate, accurate and dependable digital weight information. By incorporating the load weighing equipment directly into the material handling gear, you can:
- Increase usable floor space by eliminating the need for floor scales.
- Significantly reduce product damage by reducing the number of times the product is handled.
- Increase throughput by reducing material handling time by up to 50%.
Bushman bottom blocks incorporate 360 degree, manual or powered rotating crane hooks which permit the crane operator to position heavy or awkward loads in less accessible work areas.
Strain gauges can be incorporated directly into the bottom block’s sheave pin assembly, which allows for a very stable load weighing configuration. This unique design does not increase the overall height of the bottom block, an important feature for
buildings with low headroom. This design also eliminates the need to have multiple grabs equipped with load weighing electronics and reduces the amount of calibration work required. The load weighing equipment is mounted directly on the
bottom block to reduce EMI/RFI (electromagnetic or radio frequency interference).
